Last Minute Must Haves

One of the most common posts on any wedding forum or page is, "My wedding is in two weeks/30 days/ tomorrow/ etc... what are last minute things for me to remember." This is where a coordinator is SO helpful, because if you're one of my couples, i make sure that we have EVERYTHING. This is certainly not going to be an exhaustive list by any means, but in my experience, these are the details and items most couples forget to even think about.

FOOD

No, I don't mean your wedding food that you paid thousands to a caterer for. I mean food for YOU. Many brides forget that they and their wedding party need to EAT while getting ready. Its a long day, you'll be standing, dancing and possibly drinking, stay well nourished. On that same note, have you thought about you and your new spouse eating? At most weddings, if the couple waits to get their food at the reception they either don't get to eat (most likely) or they are super hangry until they're able to eat. Its BEST to get your coordinator (*hopefully me wink wink*) to grab a plate  from the caterer for you to eat before entering the reception. This is also a good moment for you and your new spouse to just spend together away from the chaos. Fun fact- I always have granola bars, fruit snacks, chips etc on hand for everyone in the wedding party for hangry moments.

TRANSPORTATION

I do not mean transportation for your guests or your get away car at the end of the night (hopefully you figured that out before the last minute). But transportation from wherever you're getting ready at (if it is not the venue) to the venue. Transportation for not only you and your side of the bridal party but your soon to be spouse's. Maybe you also need to figure out transportation for your wedding party's dates. With transportation, you also need to determine who will transport all your personal belongings after the wedding as well as what your wedding party peeps should do with their belongings. Which vehicle will your cards, gifts and personal decor go in? Who will take it there? These details are things wedding coordinators are great at taking care of.

CLEANUP

A lot of brides and couples forget about planning for what happens after they get in their get away car. Have you designated someone to clean up? Does any one know that you want to save your top tier of your cake? Does whoever is cleaning up your linens know what needs to be done with them if they were rented? We include clean up as part of our wedding package and go over all of these details with you.

ITEMS TO NOT FORGET....

Advil/tylenol

Safety pins

bobby pins

umbrella

cell phone charger

touch up makeup

mini first aid kit

vendor contracts

List of names of people you want photos with and/or specific spots at your venue you for sure want pictures at, give it to your photographer.
